FAQs

If you’re considering a Tanzania safari or wondering what it truly feels like to climb Kilimanjaro, these questions can help answer your curiosities and make planning easier.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is physically demanding but does not require technical climbing skills. With proper preparation, a steady pace, and the support of experienced guides, many first-time trekkers successfully reach the summit.

The best months are January to March and June to October, when the weather is generally drier and offers better trekking conditions and clearer summit views.

Most climbs take 6 to 9 days, depending on the route. Longer itineraries provide more time for acclimatization, which significantly increases your chances of reaching the summit.

Essential items include warm layered clothing, waterproof gear, sturdy hiking boots, a sleeping bag, gloves, a hat, sunglasses, and a daypack. A complete packing list is usually provided before your climb to help you prepare.
